Spirent PNT

Stand no.: 17

Represented on the test track: No

Spirent PNT deals with the simulation of GNSS signals for testing navigation receivers.

The real signals of all Global Navigation Satellite Systems GPS, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou or QZSS and all conceivable reception problems, errors and interference are generated. Data from vehicle sensors can be included via a simulation platform.

The vehicle, aircraft, drone or smartphone is usually located in a laboratory environment on a supposed route. There, it can be documented whether the receiver is navigating accurately and how it deals with satellite system errors, atmospheric interference, multipath effects, interruptions in reception, jamming or deliberate interference through jamming or spoofing. Signal broadcasting is also possible, but only with the permission of the Federal Network Agency.

An alternative is a GNSS Record&Replay system, which is carried on a test trip and records the signals from the navigation satellites, in addition to all signals and interference that occurred during the trip on the set frequency band. The collected data is played back for laboratory tests.

Lange-Electronic has been a Spirent PNT partner in Germany for over 20 years.
Our topics are monitoring and testing of navigation signals and providing precise time and frequency – also in the vehicle.
